REX airlines (Regional Express) has at least 2 flights a day to Kingscote Airport, BOOK YOUR OWN fares via their website www.rex.com.au
If not hiring a car from the airport on arrival a transfer to Seaview will be required as the airport is situated 15kms from town.
The transfer bus meets all flights, cost per person is paid to the driver direct.
There is a connecting coach available from Adelaide Central Bus Terminal on Franklin St in the city OR from Glenelg, Adelaide’s most popular seaside suburb. The coach departs twice a day 6.45am and 3.45pm and after a very scenic ride connects with a 9am or 6pm ferry.
On the return the coach connects with the 8.30am or 7.30pm ferry getting back to Adelaide (or Glenelg evenings only) by 11.30am or 10.30pm.
City hotel pick ups are available in the mornings and drop offs are available in evenings for an extra cost.
( you may find a taxi is cheaper or just stay closer to the Franklin St bus station or Glenelg pick up points )
Victor Harbour / Goolwa coach connections to ferry are also available except Wednesday and Saturday.

The ferry departs from Cape Jervis at least 3 times a day, allow at least 2 hours driving from Adelaide.
The ferry crossing will take 45 minutes to arrive at Penneshaw, a small wharf town on the east end of the island.
Kingscote, the island’s main town, is a 45 minute drive west from the wharf.
Extra times are scheduled for increased demand over the holidays and there will be up to 10 crossings a day as below.
Don’t worry if your times need altering later, we DO NOT charge fees for changes, it’s just part of the personal service we provide at Seaview.
Cape Jervis to Penneshaw : TO ISLAND
~ 9am, 10am, 12 noon, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm, 6pm. and 7pm
Penneshaw to Cape Jervis :
~ 8.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
Bold times are the only times with connections for mainland coach and island shuttle bus if required.

(please check your hire car conditions if considering bringing over a mainland hire car as some companies will not allow dirt road travel on the island which restrict your touring considerably if visiting for more than a day or two)

Island Shuttle Bus: If not hiring a car or joining a day tour a shuttle bus is available between ferry and Seaview.
This bus only connects with the 9am and 6pm ferry over (same as mainland coach) and the bus will drop you off right at our door.
On the return the bus picks up at Seaview at 6.50am or 5.20pm to connect with the 8.30am or 7.30pm ferry (same as mainland coach)
Island Car Hire: If you are a confident driver why not consider hiring your own car instead of taking day tours.
This can be a much cheaper option than day tours over a few days and you can still visit all the same places at your own pace plus see loads more places the tours don’t cover like our beautiful north coast!
Sealed road now covers most of the island’s main tourist destinations, but ISLAND HIRE CARS have fully comprehensive insurance cover ON DIRT AND sealed roads. The dirt roads on the island, while maybe a little bumpy, are still fine for normal sedan driving so 4WD is not necessary.
Cars can be dropped off at the ferry wharf, airport for no extra charge and save you transfer costs. Can also have delivered to Seaview.
All automatic drive, full insurance cover included. Keep in mind car hire is measured as each 24 hour period.
Day Tours: All tours will pick up and drop off at Seaview and will include all entry fees, lunch, and tastings at produce farms.
SeaLink coach Tours:
These large coach tours can connect with the SeaLink ferry, selected flights or pick up from Seaview.

Seal Bay Discovery Tour:
Start your day at Clifford’s Honey Farm, enjoy a informative talk about the world’s last pure strain of the Ligurian Bee including tastings,
then onto famous Seal Bay where you will enjoy an unforgettable guided walk on the beach among the colony of Australian Sealions.
Enjoy the action of Birds of Prey Show near Seal Bay and lunch at Vivonne Bay. Finish the day by the waters edge in Kingscote and watch experienced aquatic expert John Ayliffe “The Pelican Man” feed and croon about the variety and life of his friendly companions.
Remarkably Wild Tour can only be joined if you stayed on the island the previous night as it involves travelling to far end of island.
First stop is Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a look at bush ingenuity before going to the Parndana Wildlife Park where you can hand feed kangaroos. Enjoy spotting koala’s in the wild at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. After lunch you’ll head into the Flinders Chase National Park a natural paradise for our wildlife and home to Cape du Couedic Lighthouse, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, a truly spectacular rock formation with the entertainment provided by New Zealand Fur Seals below.
Kangaroo Island Experience Tour covers the best attractions from both without the produce farms.
Suitable for those on a short visit and requiring one condensed day tour.
Seal Bay, Flinders Chase National Park including the visitor centre, Remarkable Rocks, Admiral’s Arch and Hanson Bay Koala Walk.

Quite a few different companies provide 4×4 tours with a few other travellers or more expensive exclusive private tours.

Kangaroo Island and APT. You will find more information about their tours on their website’s, please ask for links if required.
Hire a Guide:
This a great 4WD tour option that is slightly cheaper and can be modified to your interests.
Pick up available from Seaview every evening to experience Kangaroo Island’s wildlife at it’s most active. Enjoy with an experienced guide for 2 and half hours finding Wallabies, Possums, Kangaroos, and possibly more elusive night creatures Boobook Owls, Stone Curlews or even a train of Echidna’s!
Bookings accepted right up to evening departure, times vary throughout the seasons.
Sightseeing Marine Tours:
Highly recommended, just cruise or remote diving and snorkelling, also swimming with dolphins available!
Enjoy an hour or two cruise or more with Half day (3 hours with refreshments) , full day coastal adventure tours.
or Ocean Extreme boat ride (45 minutes). Not for the faint hearted!
